Behind the Lens
My Story
Some photographers find their calling in art school. Mine started with a Kodak Pocket Instamatic and a grandad who handed it to me like it was something precious — because it was.
My Grandad taught me more than photography. He taught me to treat people with kindness and respect. These are the values that sit at the heart of everything I do today.
From that first camera, I was hooked. Disposable cameras, compact cameras, whatever I could get my hands on. I was always capturing moments. Even as phones took over and everyone became a photographer, something kept pulling me back towards a proper camera in my hand.
So I committed. I worked my way up from compact cameras through to a DSLR and now shoot with a mirrorless camera. I taught myself, made mistakes, learned from them, and developed a genuine love for the editing process — where a good photo becomes a great one.
My time in the Army Reserves widened my photography experiences and sharpened my eye for the unexpected. The fleeting, unscripted moments that tell the real story.
That dedication has been recognised with awards sponsored by Wex and Canon. However, the real reward is always the reaction when a client sees their photos for the first time.
Today, Aspicio Imagery is built on one simple belief: The best moments in life are unscripted. I’m not here to pose you or direct you. I’m here to watch, to be present, and to capture the spontaneous joy that makes your story uniquely yours.
You live it. I capture it. You cherish it.
